| I could feel that Mr. Siu’s painting has greatly been leaped forward in recent years.He adopts a sincere and honest attitude both in his art and personal life. In Hong Kong, he is socially active and this kind of life style has led to the promotion of Chinese traditional culture to a very great extent. Especially from 1980s and 1990s up to present, he has played a very important role in terms of promotion and development of Chinese paintings. To be a so-called Chinese painter, one needs to include Chinese traditional elements in his work. Today, when I come to see Mr.Siu’s exhibition, I am very touched by his sincerity and capability.
