| The essence of painting lies in strength and power which Fai Wing gets them all.His paintings reveal a sense of generosity, which could only be found from those great masters. There are miracles within this generosity showing the fact that Fai Wing has reached a level where he could perform his best out of his will. While composing, his strength could have the power to fi ll up the distance between the sky and earth, and ignore the existence of being. This power really reveals his expertise in the area. Fai Wing follows on the traditional way of Chinese painting and even brings its eff ect to much wider extent. At the same time he formalizes his own style of painting, which is nostalgic yet very fascinating, especially in the portrayal of human, landscape, fl owers etc. Most important of all, he is fond of plum blossom painting. The theme of “aesthetic” is very important to a painter at the master level. Every painter would have their own sense of “aesthetic”. Only loyal to this kind of “aesthetics” would painters be able to abstain from being hypocritical in their artworks. Fai Wing always learns from his predecessors and contemporary outstanding painters. He can voluntarily absorb the essence of skills from them and combine with his artistic life-style to formalize his own creation. He learns from Song and Ming to Qing Dynasties’ painters like Chen Laolian, Xu Wei, Lan Ying, Gong Xian, Shi Tao, Shi Gu, Mei Qing and other contemporary masters. It is now a good time at this stage for Fai Wing to strive for a revolutionary breakthrough in his creation. In this unprecedented period, the features shown at his artworks are rough but in a leisurely manner. There are logical variations in his painting while the breadth presented is very natural. Generally speaking, his present style in painting could be best described as naughty, relaxed, tremendous,and presentable. His artworks are saturated with moisture and innovative configuration, and descended with skills from the universe. This is why his paintings are poetic and passionate in overall style, which makes his admirers feel very pleasant and relaxed. I love the feeling of generosity in Fai Wing’s paintings, which is very lively. Both music and painting are expressive and lyrical arts. “Passion, Love and Emotion”are their main themes. Fai Wing possesses all these traits. Besides painting, he is good at precious stones, calligraphy, literature, and music. All of these also contribute to his artistic success.
