| It is not easy at all for Mr. Siu to paint such a giant work. For a masterpiece like this, it requires the painter to have the following prerequisites: First, one needs long period of training and master level of skills. Second, to develop such huge configuration, one requires some fireworks, warmth, passion, and of course aesthetic sense. The fi rework revealed by Mr. Siu is his concern to the society.Thirdly, his artwork has a regional feature combined with both oriental and western style of art presentation, which is also a spectacular cultural phenomenon of Hong Kong. Northern and southern Chinese painters would only portray their own regional styles whichis very diff erent from the innovative style of Siu Fai Wing’s presentation. All in all, the characters shown in his paintings are feverish,enthusiastic and touching.
